Disappointing experience. I purchased the AYCE deal for the seafood boil meal. The seafood was low quality and tough along with the overboiled grey egg I received. I got the garlic butter sauce which had close to zero garlic flavor and lacked salt. The food was so disappointing I only lasted one round. Service was not good, server was nice but we were not routinely checked on and our waters stayed empty. Overall, very upsetting seafood quality. I do not recommend.

Otay Sushi And Crab is honestly one of the best sushi and seafood boil restaurants in Chula Vista. Everything from the food to the ambiance and service made this such a great experience. The restaurant has a fun and welcoming atmosphere with a modern seafood spot vibe that makes it perfect for dinner with friends, family, or even a casual date night. The food was absolutely delicious and tasted incredibly fresh. We started with sushi rolls and the quality of the fish was amazing fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The rolls had the perfect balance of textures and sauces without feeling overwhelming. The seafood boil was definitely one of the highlights. The shrimp, crab, mussels, and seafood were cooked perfectly and coated in rich buttery seasoning packed with flavor. Every bite was juicy, flavorful, and satisfying. The staff was also super friendly and attentive throughout the entire visit. Everyone made us feel welcomed, checked on us often, and made sure everything came out perfectly. We came here about a week ago. We walked in and went to the host stand. She was standoffish and annoyed. We told her how many people were in our party, and she looked like a deer in headlights. She then proceeded to grab the white piece of paper that goes on a table and walked us to our table. 5 minutes went by, and someone got seated behind us, and then another party got seated. They took their orders and brought their drinks. 15 minutes went by, and I tried to get the waiter’s attention, and she looked me in the eyes and rolled her eyes and continued to walk away. Another 5 minutes went by, and I tried to get another person’s attention. The host finally came by and said they were super busy and they would get to us once they were ready. I told her that everyone that got here before us already had food; we hadn’t even been offered food. She walked away and came back 5 minutes later and told us she would take only our drink order. We finally got a waiter to come and take our order, which they forgot to bring out half of what we had ordered. We never got a simple apology for waiting so long. The food is good, drink special is a great deal, buy 1 get 1 for 1 cent on certain beverages. Atmosphere is good and we didn't have to wait for a table. Staff is nice and friendly, but there was a bit of a wait when we ordered drink refills, we had to ask the hostess for help because our server was taking so long with drinks. The restaurant is clean. The seats in the booths are hard and uncomfortable, though, I guess so you don't stay too long lol. If you order the all you can eat meal, you are given a time limit of 90 minutes and everyone in your party has to order the all you can eat meal as well, no sharing allowed, which makes sense. We had a great time.

Great food, cooks are willing to fulfill your requests, waiter was new apparently, lacked a lot of follow up, had to Repeatedly ask for or get updates on ordered food, wouldn’t come to pickup plates or trash, had to request three times to have dishes removed, other than that everything else was great!! Had them make “jalapeño poppers for me, ordered them 4 times!!
